12月10日 It's work damnit!It's so amazingly frustrating! These young I've-read-a-book pagans that then declare themselves to be....dun dun DA!!!! a High Priest/ess. As if it's some kind of a 'kewl' title.
There's nothing 'kewl' about it. It's a lot of FUCKING work. It's getting woken up at 2am because your covener's life is falling apart and they need to talk to you about it. It's talking to new people and trying to give them good information....which probably isn't going to be 'nice' or necessarily what they want to hear. It's organizing rituals, and timing things so that the most members possible can be at an event.
It is the result of going through all the personal growth and transformation that is part of a pagan path. And news flash, it's not a fun event. It's WORK. And it doesn't end. Not till your dead. But in the mean time you're expected to shepherd others through those scary experiences and help them become the person that they joined your coven to become.
Why oh why do people think that it's all just shits and giggles to be a HP/S?
